Working with our Domain Manager is rather easy, regardless of whether you’ve got one or numerous domains to administer. Via its simple–to–use interface, you can select multiple domains at the same time and renew them (for one or multiple years), update their nameservers or alter the WHOIS info pertaining to them in a jiffy.

Within the Control Panel there is a point & click domain name management tool with an array of controls for managing multiple domains at the same time. You can quickly set up sub–domain names, forward sites, edit the nameservers as well as the WHOIS details associated with a domain, create custom DNS records and more.

Beside the standard domain name controls, in the Domain Manager you’ll also find an option to hide your domain name registration information using the Whois Privacy Protection feature and to safeguard your Internet shop’s financial transactions with standard or wildcard Secure Sockets Layer certificates.

At OpenHost, we give you total control over your domain names’ DNS resource records. From the Custom DNS section of the Domain Manager, you will be able to modify various types of DNS records for a chosen domain. These include A, AAAA, MX, NS, SRV, CNAME and TXT records. To add a new record, simply choose a domain and then enter the desired value in the respective record field. To modify the record – click ’Modify’; to reset the default value – click ’Revert’.

Via the GeoIP location tool, also available in the Custom DNS section, you can present a particular language version of your site to visitors from a given geographical area.

With the WHOIS protection functionality, you can hide your private information that appears on the Internet upon a WHOIS lookup on your domain name. In this way, when someone does a WHOIS lookup on your domain name, they will see fictitious details instead of your personal details. With this feature enabled, you’ll never need to worry that somebody may use your physical address or telephone number to bother you.

The WHOIS protection feature is available with the majority of the domains offered on our website and you can find it in the Domain Manager integrated into your Control Panel.

With the Registrar Lock functionality turned on, you can be sure that your domain name is safeguarded against online robbery. Any person who tries an unauthorized domain name transfer will be immediately stopped and the domain name transfer request – denied.

If, at a given point, you decide to transfer your domain name to another registrar, you will be able to unlock it with a simple click of the mouse. You can find the locking/unlocking feature in the Domain Manager section of your Control Panel.

When registering a domain name, you’ll be required to present relevant and up–to–date registration information, regardless of whether you’re an individual or a company. This is the reason why, you’ll have to update your WHOIS details whenever necessary. Nonetheless, not all domain extensions support this functionality by default, so first check for this option before initiating a WHOIS update.

From the Domain Manager in your Control Panel, you can change the registrant, technical and admin contact info for one or multiple domain names at once. All the modifications that you make will be reflected live straight away!
