Overlooking the north shore of Providenciales, Rock House Turks and Caicos opened May 1, 2022, and the accolades that have been pouring in since are as dazzling as those baby blue waters lapping this superlative spot.
Part of Grace Bay Resorts’ posh portfolio, the resort was designed to have an Amalfi Coast aesthetic, with 46 oceanfront villa-style accommodations built right into the limestone cliffs. There are studios as well as one- and two-bedroom layouts to choose from, making it easy to settle in and stay a while overlooking one of the most lauded stretches of sand in these spectacular sand-spun isles.
Grace Bay Resorts’ chief executive officer, Mark Durliat, came up with the concept for the resort after finding inspiration during his travels to Italy and the South of France. “Rock House is the Caribbean Capri, rivaling a trip to the Mediterranean without the transcontinental trip,” he explained.
And while we’re wondering if there will be limoncello, it’s worth noting that the property is also one of only a few Leading Hotels of the World properties in Turks and Caicos. So, those who like their luxury to a T in the Caribbean will want for next to nothing here.
Among your villa’s perks are outdoor shower gardens and floor to ceiling windows that are designed to make the most of the water and cliff views. It’s beautiful to see how the property’s natural landscapes were preserved in the resort’s design, with limestone feature walls built by local artisans that wrap around the villas as just one of the unique design features that create a real sense of place here.
All of Rock House’s landscaping is also intrinsically of these islands, incorporating indigenous plants that include native orchids and slow-growing Joewood trees, among others
Other standout resort amenities include a 100-foot-long infinity pool, a private white sand beach, the brand’s signature Beach Club restaurant, a yoga pavilion, private jetty stretching 130 feet out into the ocean and the iconic Cave Bar–carved into the natural limestone walls and just begging for beach-view cocktails.
