The Nautilus Maldives Pulls Out All the Stops for Valentine’s Day

With only 26 villas, seclusion is already at a premium. But when it comes to romance, this resort is truly something else.

What is there to say about the Nautilus Maldives that hasn’t already been said? It’s very easy to see why this resort is well regarded as one of the best, most beautiful private islands in the Maldives, if not the entire world, and it would be fair to ask, “How does a place that looks this amazing manage to surprise guests anymore?” With creativity, of course.

For example, few resorts are rolling out a Valentine’s Day experience as romantic and fulfilling this year. Already an astounding choice for romantic travelers, the Nautilus Maldives now offers the “signature package,” which is nothing short of unbelievable. Included in this ultra-luxurious couples event are a personalized spa journey, private yoga session, guided snorkeling exploration of the house reef, private movie night on the beach, and bespoke cocktails from the comfort of each villa’s sun deck.

Want more? The Nautilus Maldives is also considered one of the best resorts in the region when it comes to food, so it’s no surprise the executive chef is going over the top for visiting hopeless romantics. I’m not even sure what some of these words means, but this menu sounds absolutely mouth-watering and mind-blowing: local spiny lobster-filled beet “culurgiones” dumpling enhanced with celeriac, saffron, oyster foam, shaved bottarga, fennel pollen and toasted egg yolk; Kagoshima beef A5 striploin tartare with imperial caviar, shaved black truffles and 62°quail egg; and a roasted lamb loin with foie gras, roasted beet and crimini in rosemary puff pastry with bittersweet chocolate-amarena cherry reduction.

There’s still so much more to this Valentine’s Day experience—we’ve barely scratched the surface. Romantic breakfasts, aphrodisiac cocktails and private mixology masterclasses, wine and cheese tastings, oysters and champagne, yacht excursions, a pasta making class, signature treatments at the Solasta Spa, a Seabob Safari… lord have mercy.

Just one piece of advice: book at the Nautilus Maldives this year and go ahead and accept that absolutely nothing will hold a candle to this for the next 50 Valentine’s Days.
