There’s no way to report this news with adding “Boldly going where no cruise ship has gone before.” Sci-fi fans, get ready for Star Trek: The Cruise. The six-night cruise in January 2017 will be hosted by none other than Capt. James T. Kirk himself, actor William Shatner.
Other Trek actors already confirmed include Jonathan Frakes (“Commander Riker” from The Next Generation), John de Lancie (“Q”), Marina Sirtis (“Counselor Deanna Troi”) and Robert Picardo (“The Doctor” on Star Trek: Voyager).
Entertainment Cruise Productions, which has been producing full-ship charters for more than 15 years including The ’80s Cruise, The Jazz Cruise and The Gospel Music Cruise, is in charge of Star Trek: The Cruise, which is the first such trip authorized by CBS Consumer Products. The cruise commemorates the original TV series’ 50th anniversary.

Star Trek: The Cruise will include: dramatic performances, comedy shows and concerts by Trek actors, talks with leading Trek experts, themed parties and bars (including Quark’s Bar and Ten Forward), movie screenings and more. It sets sail on the Norwegian Pearl, one of Norwegian Cruise Line’s “Jewel Class” ships that can accommodate nearly 2,400 guests.
The Trek cruise leaves Miami on Jan. 7, 2017 and includes stops in Cozumel and two ports in the Bahamas (Great Stirrup Cay and Nassau).
